Would you like to learn to chant from the Torah with trope? Now is a great time to brush up on your Torah skills or learn for the first time.
TI member Judy Craig will be teaching a small hybrid (in-person and zoom) class in Torah reading and Torah trope for Shabbat starting this summer. She has experience tutoring cantorial students at JTS and studies privately with Rabbi Miles Cohen, a renowned professor of Torah reading. We will be using Rabbi Cohen’s workbook.
Prerequisite: ability to read Hebrew
Fee for materials: $47 for Torah/haftarah workbook; $27 for Torah only workbook (scholarships available)
